Paul explains that God declares that we are righteous. When a judge in a court of law declares the defendant not guilty, all the charges are removed from his record. Legally, it is as if the person had never been accused. When God our Father forgives our sins, our record is wiped clean. From God’s perspective, it is as though we had never sinned. He could do this because Jesus paid the penalty that we deserved.
Christ purchased our freedom from sin, and the price was His life.

Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You, for Your blood. Thank You for being the propitiation for our sins; not for our sins only, but for the whole world also. I am no longer under the power of sin. I am no longer under condemnation. I am now the righteousness of God. The cycle of sin is broken from my life; I will walk according to the Spirit not according to the flesh. I am victorious in this life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
